whom

Pronoun B2 – Upper-Intermediate

The object form of "who," used for a person who receives the action of a verb or follows a preposition.

"To whom should I address this letter?"

In everyday speech most people use "who" even where "whom" is technically correct; "whom" now survives mainly in formal writing.
